Lidded bowl

A couple of guys in my woodturning club have been encouraging me to put some of my pen designs on some larger turnings. This was my first attempt. The bowl was supposed to be six sided, but a "design opportunity" occurred along the way Smile

Bowl is hard pear, lid is white milkwood inlaid with veneers, finial is black alder.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Jim, you are correct. Technically it is a segment, not an inlay, because the design goes all the way through the lid.

Ken and Don, I took some pictures while I was making it and am working on an entry for my blog with a description of the process. I'll let you know when it is ready.
