This piece came for the wood pile of Avelino Samuel. I spent a half day with Mr Samuel on St John is the Virgen Islands. He let me use his equipment and gave me tips when he saw something I could do easier. Wonderful man, I think he will be a presenter at the AAW next meet. The piece is 10 1/2 x 3 1/2 finished with many coats of tungoil sanded after each coat then buffed on a beal system
You have to share on the boards what he taught you. If it had anything to do with this piece, he taught it well. Beautiful. I'm not familiar with rain tree, but is sure is beautiful wood. You did a great job with it. 8-)
I submitted a topic to the forum about my trip. Raintree is a mimosa and cuts like it. The finished piece is 10 1/2 by 3 1/2. Wife snagged it immediately.
The reason you haven't seen much of me is because I ran for public office and devoted every waking moment to the campaign, came up 400 votes short however.
