Way Cool Paul, I can't tell any difference in the finials, to me they look the same color wise. I like the HF, it has a special touch about it and I believe its the cocobolo, the colors remind me of tiger wood. Beautiful piece, you did a great job with this one! Thumbs Up!

That is a spectacular piece Paul! That Cocobolo really makes this HF sing. What is the difference in the wood used for the finial and the base spindle? Can't see any difference. Your talent really shows in the details...Bill..

Great work. You've done a great job on both the finial and the base. The foot is nice and flat so that it does not look like it is growing out of the table. I was trying to get this same point across to someone on another board the other day and I still don't think they understood. Sweet piece of work. 8-)

Doesn't get much better than this, Paul. The sizes and shapes of the pedestal and finial are spot on. I also can't see any difference in the two types of ebony from the picture. One looks black, and the other looks...umm...black.
