Nice looking for your first. One suggestion don't make the top of your stoppers to sharp. Makes them hard on the hand to smack into the bottle. What did you finish them with?
The big one I finished with beeswax on a buffing wheel mounted on the lathe.
The small one I finished with a few coats of salad bowl finish, I sanded it some between coats, but it lost its lustre because I only had up to 320 grit and 400+ was recommended.
DTBG just keep rubbing the small one with some 0000 steel wool and it might get back some of the luster. Somebody else might have an idea how to help with that. Why don't you go back to your post and ask about it.
