3" x 6" 5/16" thick. Finished with danish oil. Began as an enclosed form, but, came apart at a bark inclusion that actually looked very sound. Good for remembering why to a face shield. My air helmut took the hit in stride, but, it still makes you think.
Great piece of wood and you did a fantastic job with this piece. From the looks of things, I'm betting that it feels good in the hand too. Keep em coming, Keith. BTW, what wood has Jo insisted you buy lately? 8-)
Thanks guys. The top of the bowl is where the bark would have been. With burls it hard to determine end grain or side grain.
Rev - Jo hasn't put her two cents in on wood buying lately. She been kind of busy with Noah. She didn't mind a couple of investments I made in Aussie burls recently, though.
Hey Keith, love the bowl. It was a good save. I know I have said it before but it is good to see you back and posting again. BTW, we never did have that party to celebrate the new shop completion, lol.
Thanks Phil. I haven't forgotten about that party. I would still like to have it. I've just got to figure out when. Can't say when that will be, but, I will let you know.
