This vase was supposed to be much larger but due to severe warpage when drying it's half the hight. 8" tall X 6" dia with watco oil and Beall buffed. The wall thickness finished at 1/6"
I still say these footed vessels are the coolest thing. Yours is no exception. too bad about the drying issue. So I take it it's twice turned? If you are taking it that thin, why not turn it to completion, and let 'er warp?
Paul,I agree totally about turning to completion.What happened here is I started to late and had to finish the next day. This happened to the red boxelder in the pic with the steady rest and hollowing tools. I had to let it set overnight before I finished hollowing and it cracked!!!
