I decided to make a reversible clock to give the user an option to change his decor. The clock movement and stand can be easily interchanged. This photo shows the front and side view of the same clock in the next photo. It was produced entirely from Red Mallee Burl (approximately 9" at it's widest span) using the Ci1 and Ci2 Easy Roughers and finished with 4 coats of Boiled Linseed Oil. Drying cracks and inclusions were left untouched to preserve the naturalness of this amazing "chunk" of nature.
As always, comments and critiques are more than welcomed. www.perfectwoodworks.com
I think this is absolutely fabulous. The first thing I thought of was one of those ammonite fossils which linked into the time and nature theme. You have really nailed it with this piece. Brilliant, well done.
I like both sides equally well on this piece. Nice design around a beautiful piece of wood and the clock to display the beauty and function of each. Nice Job!
Very nice clock for somebody. You did a nice job of turning on both sides. The stand is a knock in the head too. Very well done. Should draw top dollar. 8-)
