Amboyna Burl Designer pen with Brass Fillings

Designer style pen made from Amboyna Burl that was badly checked. A mixture of brass key filings and CA glue was used to fill the checks creating a gold nugget inlay effect. Sanded to 400, MM to 12000, friction polished and Ren Waxed. Photot truly does not do justice. And as always, comments and critiques are welcomed.

It was planned from the beginning. I made him a pen with brass stripes previously and it was a bit heavy. So he wanted the bling factor again without the weight, and voila! The rest is history. That blank had many drying cracks and was perfect for this trial.

thanks for the input all good ideas i will be trying some things in the near future. i did order from craft suppies. should be here soon what about using using clear polyester resin has anyone tried that
