I made these wine stoppers using wood from trees that were either damaged by the recent hurricanes or other woods that grow in the area. Each stopper has an uncirculated Louisiana quarter flush mounted. Woods used include Red Oak Burl, Tidewater Cypress, Pecan, Holly, Hackberry, and Mimosa. www.perfectwoodworks.com
Nice display of stoppers! The two in the middle are my favorites. That holly is really white! Nice theme, promoting the state origin with the quarter and local woods.
nice bro!! I be doin the same thing!! Only i use the Okie versions... I got some Aromatic Red Cedar that was dropped by the May 3rd tornado (kinda famous around here) i didn't think to use that wood, but i will now!!!
I also recently did one for my Father in law that had a German Deutsch Mark in it from his prevoius trip there. He really liked it.
Nice Leo, their all very good looking, I like the bottom right most. I've been making the same with SC coins for about a year now. I get alot of request for GA, OH, and NC coins. Make some with neighboring states coins for your next show... you'll be surprised to see how many of them you sell.Wizzy
