Paper Clip Caddy

Custom item for my favorite customer in NYC. Made from Sugar Maple Burl. Dimensions are 4" x 1-3/4". Bowl deflection is 3/4". Turned using inside grip hold. Magnet (hidden inside) to secure clips.

That is a great idea. How did you hide the magnet? Just drill a hole and then fill it with sawdust?

I have a 1-1/2" forstener hole counterbored with a 3/4" hole for the magnet. After finishing, I hid everything with a felt patch to keep it from scratching the desk. Ingenious, I know! Wink
