Burl Nest

Black locust burl nest.
The big bowl is 14" wide and 8" tall.
Finished with walnut oil.
Cored with a McNaughton system which is certainly thrilling to use on dry wood!

Wow, what a spectacular set of bowls. A great burl like that is when a bowl coring system really earns its keep.

nice bowls sure wish i had the equipment to core out blanks and not waste pretty wood but it does grow on trees when you are able to use the free stuff
