Black Cherry domed lidded box with red oak "acorn" knob. Thispiece is 4 1/2" X 3" and finished with mineral oil. This cherry was so light in color it almost looked like pine. I sat it on a south facing window sill and rotated it daily. After a week in the sun it looks like cherry now. After the suntan it needs another coat of oil though.

Beautiful box. I also have some light colored cherry. I didn't know that it would tan in the sun. Thanks for the tip.
