Egg Box

This is a segmented turning. It's about 14" tall and 9" at the widest girth. It's mainly curly maple with a triple helix of purple heart. The finial is an egg shaped piece of purple heart on a maple base.

I turned this as a commission piece for a retirement present for one of Kate's co-workers.

I gave it a thin coat of sanding sealer and took it to the Beal buffs.

The baseball is just to give it some scale.
