291 individual pieces of Figured Maple, Ebony, Paduak, Bubinga and Yellowheart. A neighbor gave me about 500 bd feet of this figured maple that his father-in-law milled and stored in an old shed for almost 30 years.
Wonderful work. I'm glad you have the patience to do all this glue-up. I would have pitched all three pieces before I got them halfway glued. Nice work with them. 8-)
Wish you could somehow post a detailed video on how you did all your pieces. I know the basics, what I want to know is how do you put something this complex all together (in your head), as well as while cutting the pieces. Wonderful work

Thanks all for the nice comments. It is a challenge but I enjoy this type of turning. I did buy Tibbetts book and followed his recommendations on jigs etc which helped get me pointed in the right direction. I am working on two new pieces and have taken photos of the process but not video. I think Malcom is coming out with DVDs soon on how to do some of his work. That is definately on my "to buy" list.
