Nice work. I'm sure it is well admired in person too. Curious about the design. Could you tell us a bit more about why the heavy walls? 8-)

I think the incursion on the out side give it a special touch. I see you made the enter wall very thin... nicely done! The crotch gives it an added bonus in appearance... Nice, very nice!

Thanks for the compliments...I left it thick to keep the inclusion and I thought the grain would show a little better as well. BTW I did drop a similar size bowl on my foot last weekend while wearing sandles...and yes it did leave a mark.
