1st Wing bowl

Made from Sapele, its 8" x 8" x 2 5/8", the bowl is 4 1/2" across and the wing tapers from 1/8" in the center to 1/16 on the end. I didn't put a final finish dew to the high humidity, it has a single coat of sanding sealer.

Wizzy, I personnally like this one the best of the two. I like the dark wood, the finish is super just to be sanding sealer, the fact that the angle of the picture lets you see the taper on the underside of the wing shows the impact it gives the piece. Great Job.

Thx folks, they are fun to make, but scary too, this one slapped my fingers when I was sanding it and my whole body Puckered when that happened. That is when I decided to take it off the lathe and hand sand it.... hehehe
