I love this wood combination. I wonder though, what is it going to look like in a couple of years when the OO darkens? Matters not now though. I love the piece. 8-)
I did not know OO would darken. I got a truck load of scrap wood from
a friend and it was in the load. I love the way it looks. I hope it will
not darken too much.
turns a nice golden brown. It is beautiful either bright yellow or the brown. The point of this stuff is for our work to be used and enjoyed. If you keep the OO in a dark cabinet and only bring it out for short periods you can keep the bright yellow for a long time. Light exposure though is the enemy here. So you take your pick, enjoy it or keep it put away. I'd choose to have it out where it can be enjoyed. 8-)
