Spalted maple burl

8"Dx3 1/2"H at highest point. This was the worst looking piece of wood you could ever imagine when I started. You could tell it was a burl but there was so much punkiness on it I wasn't sure it would amount to anything, but as you can see it really came out nice. Still need to put a finish coat on it, right now it is just danish oil.
