These are some recent mushrooms I turn every year for a festival here in Oregon. They are turned from Spalted Maple and Yew. Some are finished with Briwax Friction polish and some with a lacquer based friction polish that I mix up myself. They always sell out so I am turning a bunch this year.
Thanks 2L...I like how the bulb balances the mushrooms shape. I think that is why I started turning them like that. My previous ones were straight mainly.
bud,
Unfortunately I didn't get there. My girlfriend is a fantasy artist and illustrator. Every year she vends at the Faerieworlds Festival which takes place around the Eugene area at Secret House Winery. All my time has been spent turning for that and helping her get ready. I've had to build some extra shelving for it this year and help her get her framing and matting done. I do plan on trying to branch out to other venues though.

Neg, I know where the winery is. When is the show?
August 1st-3rd. I can't really be there though. I am going to be here at the house taking care of the pets while she takes my turnings with her to sell alongside her art. My anxiety keeps me away from these events. One day I will escape this prison (Social Anxiety). If you are free to go and have a look around you should stop in and say hello. Her name is Carol Phillips.
