Those laminates look cool, Ned. Quick and easy, they add color and a bit of workmanship to the chains. Do you have those blanks ready to go for these sleepy nights?
I take all the scraps from the segmented stuff or just cutoffs and glue them up. I do try to do a bunch of blanks all at once, then on days when I can't do real turning I will drill them or glue tubes or what ever other time consuming stuff there is. I have lots of plasic grocery sacks with different size blanks in them. It also helps my daughter, when she gets the urge she just goes and gets a preped blank and turns.
