Hollow Form & NEW finial (re-turned)

Well it's finally finished. I re-did the finial, and it's signed and ready for the show. Is that better for a finial? Hollow form is Black Poplar, finial is Russian Olive.

Bert, this is a lot better. My personal opinion is that you have a way to go yet though. Take a look at this one, www.woodturnersresource.com/wrphotopost/showphoto.php?photo=5865&cat=all&limit=all. Neal did a really nice job with this one. It is a good example to try to copy. I think you'll see what I'm talking about. The long top section should be more concave than convex in order to draw the eye upward. You are definitely moving in the right direction though. 8-)

Bert,
It looks good but you need more definition.If you were going for 4 balls on the finial they need to be defined more.
