Textured Walnut bowl

Walnut bowl with textured bottom and burned ring, 6 1/2" at widest point, 2 1/2" tall, sanded to 600 and finished with sanding sealer and carnauba wax. This piece had a lot of cracks, the further I went with it the worse the flaking got where the cracks were. The top rim is .045 thick and 1" wide. I tried to burn the textured bottom to make it look old by applying pressure with steel wool, it seemed to work till I burned my fingers.

Interesting Piece. Looks bigger than dimensions in picture. You did a good job with it given all the voids and cracks. You're not gonna hold soup in this one, so it has to be art.
