camphor bowl

This bowl is just a simple, plain bowl made of camphor but it is the largest bowl I have turned, thanks to my new Nova lathe. It is 12 1/4" X 4" and finished with 4 coats of Danish oil.

I sure do love that wood. Such a pleasure to turn. The smell is great. And the color and movement of the grain is great. Just one of those few woods that have it all going for it. BTW, your work with it is pretty good too. Nice job. 8-)
