Calcite and Purpleheart vase

5" x 5" approximately. buffed with carnuba. The piece really glows in person. This is my first stone piece with a wood segmented rim. going to work on doing some more of that. thickness just under 3/8" Calcite is 3 on hardness scale, I was told this is 3-3.5 I don't thing there is anything harder that I would turn but the carbide bit made it work out real well.
