Not sure I've ever seen a cedar bowl that was that red without the yellow streaks. Very cool just the same. The flame figure is sure a bonus. Great job.

My I ask how you finished it? I don't think that I have seen any ceder that red before with out adding some color to it. Looks great though

The finished to this one is like most of mine. Wipe down with mineral spirits and a coat of tung oil. This tree was multitrunked but measured 36" in girth.
I got several pieces without the sapwood or those punky pockets I have found in other cedar. I've got several more to finish. If anyone is interested in a piece, I can share a few for the price of a flatrate box.
