Natural Edge Cedar

This is a chunk of western red cedar that I purchased at Bow River Woods.
It's 10" wide by 5.25" high.
Finish: NONE
I sanded it to 800 and then burnished it with a paper towel.
The cedar oils came to the surface and gave it a nice sheen and a very silky feel.

Thanks everyone.
I was able to core out one more piece that I'm working on now.
The cedar smell is intense so I used a respirator while turning and sanding.
Good thing I like the smell.
