My first segmented bowl

This is my first attempt at a bowl, segmented or otherwise. Walnut/QS sycamore zig-zag with QS White oak/walnut/QS White Oak veneer above and below the decor. The bottom is solid walnut because I didn't know how to do a ring/plug.

Everybody, thank you for the kind words. Mark, the bowl is 5" tall and 7-3/4" wide at the rim. The finish is blonde shellac with a Waterlox gloss finish. I will wait a couple of weeks before I put some wax on it. It sure was easy applying the finish with the piece on the lathe. It almost felt like cheating...
