Bowl is 5 1/4" X 2" I left a little part of the tenon to hopefully make it look as if it were floating. Sure wish I could have done a better job with that crack though
I do quite a bit of the turquoise fill. Be sure your turquoise is powered finely enough. The photo is a bit blurry to be sure of the problem but the hardest part for me is getting the stome to fill the finest cracks. It sometimes helps to put a bit of thin CA in the crack and then work the powder in the crack adding more CA as necessary. I also try to build the turquoise slightly higher than the wood. Finally I occasionally actually remove a bit of wood to make room for a bit of extra fill. Hope some of this helps.
Sure did I tried to remove some of the wood but I think that after I put the powder in I didn't have enough glue on it. Thanks, the blurry is my fault not the camera.
