The wood started out about 3 times larger, but after removing cracks wound up being 5 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide by 3/16 thick. Except I left it a little thicker under the neck somehow. I didn't really notice it until I had completed. Finish is EEE, Shellawax, and Renasance wax. Comments appreciated.
I like this little hollow form. IMHO, I would like to see a little bit smaller neck (both height and diameter) as well as a bit smaller base. In fact, just my opinion here, I think that if you thinned the neck on the outside I believe it would make all the difference in the world. Your choice of design is great and well executed. Your curve from top to bottom looks nice and consistent. Great piece. 8-)
I agree with the Rev about smaller on top and bottom and a nice curve. The workmanship looks very good and the finish appears to be well done but the pic is fuzzy enough that it is hard to tell for sure.
Sorry about the fuzz, my photography is lacking. I was able to get the finish pretty smooth. I have to agree with you on the top and bottom and will definitely plan according on the next version.
