Black Ash Burl Box 2

This box and the small Bl Ash Burl box were turned from a small board I was given. This one is about 3" in diameter.

From a board, you say? So the top and bottom are two pieces of the same 1 1/4"(?) board? Nice use of the wood.

nappen - I haven't measured it but I think your pretty close.

Rick - The board was about about 1 1/4". Both the burl boxes were made from the same piece of wood.

Gil - This is finished with one coat of Lee Valley Polymerized Tung Oil Sealer followed by two coats of Lee Valley Polymerized High Luster Tung Oil.

Chris - My parents get this stuff for me when they're in Arizona. I had them pick me up a ice burl the last time they were there and then they surprised me with the small burl board these boxes were made from.
