Fluteus Maximus 5258

This is another in the series of ash bowls that I've been working on. Named because I don't think it's possible to fit any more flutes on this 10 1/2 inch bowl. Fluted, sandblasted and bleached inside and out.

Very nice and I love the color of the wood after you bleached it, it makes the darker grain stand out which gives it a 3D look as if the darker grain is higher than the lighter grain. Well done, I like it! Thumbs Up!

You make some really interesting pieces Bruce. Have you ever posted any of your techniques anywhere? I'd really be interested in seeing a little bit about how you accomplish these flutes and the dyed finishes as well.
