I really like this piece. You did a good job getting the curve to continue from end to end. Your base being made of a contrasting wood sets it off as well. Very nice. I bet it doesn't sit on the shelf very long unless the LOYL lays claim to it. 8-)
Hey rev! you were not kidding about this one flying off the shelf. i just got an email from someone wanting to purchase it! I did not even have this one available for 24 hours.
well to honest, not very well. from what i can tell their are only two woodturners that actually have sales on a regular basis. one being myself and another guy, but the good thing about etsy is that to list it is only .20 to list an item for up to four months. also they charge 3 percent of the selling price when you actually sell something. the really bad thing about etsy is that they do not advertise their website, it is completely on the sellers to advertise. so if you have two to three hours a day to dedicate to advertising your shop you should do well. also don't expect to get alot for your pieces it seems like most of the high dollar stuff sold on etsy is jewelry. for me personally i get most of my sales from advertising on myspace on peoples pages.
