3" x 8" Sapele bowl

3" x 8" and the wall is 3/8" thick, made from a Sapele board that was 3 1/4" x 8 1/4" by 5' long, I cut it square and then removed the corners for easer turning. The finish is plain Min Wax polly.

Nice bowl for holiday nuts and special occasions. Pretty wood, too. When I was a kid, we had a nutcracker bowl of very similar shape, with a center column that you'd crack the nut on. That was about 1" diam. with a metal cap--brass, I think. Just some food for thought. Smile
