Ash hollowform turned from a branch with a Y. The base of the Y is the bottom of the piece. Lots of bark, bug holes, and a big void on one side.

Great piece, absolutely love this type of natural work with void, eyes, burl and such.
Looks like it was a scary piece to turn. Was it stable during turning with a third of the form missing?
This is the first piece I've turned with such a large void in the side. It gives a good workout but in some ways is easier. With the void you can see the exact position of the tool as it's hollowing. Being Ash, the wood is very strong so even with a few catches (one that pulled it from the chuck), nothing broke. Here are some other views..
