Myrtle burl w/bark

This is kind of a "nothin'" bowl but the wood is amazing. It's piece of true, above-ground (30'), burl. I had to turn it carefully and not too thin (3/8"+) to keep from tearing up the bark inclusions. It's about 12" x 3" & not finished as yet. There is a foot under it--'bout 1/2".

I'm currently turning a hackberry burl similar to this one. Coffee grounds would make a nice fill for those inclusions, if you want to strengthen them a bit. Very nice, Bud.
