Something Funky

5.26 x 6.0 turned, burned, textured and carved elm. In this exercise, my goal was to push my limits and comfort zone to create something totally unusual (for me anyway). This was turned on three axis and hollowed from two of them. It was really interesting to turn. I will be expecially eager to hear comments and critiques on this "out of the box" vessel.

Jerry, I wish I was as creative and skilled. I am liking this out of the box series. I love the organic nature of the shapes, texturing and carving. Well done!

Thanks for the comments. No hollowing from the bottom. It was hollowed from each of the two openings that you see.
