Quite amazing piece. The texture makes it look so realistic, almost as if it is real wood. I know it must be ceramic, but I can't see the seam line. Smile

What texturing tool do you use, if you care to share that info. I'm guessing a reciprocating power carver?

Texturing was done with a Dremel ENGRAVER with the sharp point replaced with a round diamond bit. Thanks for the comments.

Excellent piece Jerry. I have watched Trent Bosch's video on carving hollow forms many times and love the look of the scalloped pieces but the added texturing on this one sets it apart. I can't figure out yet if it looks like leather or stone either, but the organic effect of the texturing is mesmerizing!
