Jerry, you have another beauty. However, I think I like the other rim treatment better. To be honest, I'm not sure why. Perhaps it's the color of the wood and the dye. What I'm thinking is that this rim treatment on a platter with a lighter colored wood (maple perhaps) would be outstanding, these medium colored woods with burning, and the darker woods texture only. Don't know, merely speculating. Sounds like an experiment in the making to me. Maybe when I get over this sorness. 8)
