Jatoba Platter

7/8 x 18 Jatoba (Brazilian Cherry) platter made for a Christmas gift. The rim was textured with the Sorby texturing tool and then groves were cut on each side to outline the texturing. I then burned the high spots of the texturing with the spoon tip of my detail master pyrograpy tool. Please forgive the picture as this platter was pushing the limits of my photo tent and I did not have many options.

I knew it. The detail pic of the texturing was great. I just knew the whole thing was going to be gorgeous. Sure enough. This is one beautiful platter. Somebody is going to be happy. 8)

Thanks guys. I sometimes think I am cheating when I use the texturing tool because it is so simple and quick to use.
