I recently found a source for some nice orange aniline dye. This is a result of some experimentation with it and some black. The piece is about 7 7/8 inches in diameter by 7 1/2 inches tall.
This is really quite attractive, Bruce as are all of your dyed pieces. This is partly because of the classic forms you execute so beautifully but then you dress them up in this wonderful colored finery. I have some plain woods that if turned into boxes offer not much more than a plain wood turned into a box. Do you think a box is too small of a canvas to use your dying techniques? I hate to waste wood and plain wood that can be made beautiful makes a lot of sense to me.
