This is the biggest bowl I have turned to date. It measures 14.5" in diameter and 5.75" high. Soft maple and lacewood. I had actually glued it up and started turning it when I discovered some checks that must have developed while waiting for the glue to dry. Wound up parting it off at the lacewood layer and cutting the base section into three pieces and glueing them back together with some lacewood in the joint. The upper section had a check too so I cut a "V" notch and glued in a wedge of lacewood there as well.
