Candle Holder. 4.5"x8". Top is Norfolk Is. Pine, very thin, soaked in danish oil then buffed. Base is Cocobolo buffed and waxed

NIce contrast in grain patterns here. I'll bet it looks pretty with a candle buring inside.

nappen, there is a small tennon on the cocobolo base. The norfolk island pine has no bottom and fits snuggly over the tennon. Joint is made permenent with epoxy. I tried to make the grain patern line up, as best I could.

Ugly Duck, I use small candles that come in little jars, about 1.5"x1.5". This way I won't burn up my turning.
