Great looking bowl , Philip. Nice the way it just floats in the picture, and I like the roll of the lip and sides. Never heard of cardinalwood, but it does have a nice shape and color.

Nice bowl Philip. That was a good choice of wood for the finial. I've used that red wood myself only I've bought it as 'redheart'. Also seen it called 'bloodwood'. Don't know of it's all the same thing.

I don't know if it is either to be honest, that is just what they called it at the Paxtons store I bought it at in Oklahoma City one year when I was there.
