Cherry piercing

My first go at a piercing 6 1/2 " round 5" tall.Tung oil finish. Next one will be much thinner!! thats not easy going thru a 1/4"

Great work, Sky! Good arrangement of negative areas. It's difficult for me to achieve "uniform randomness". Looks like thick enough walls to not move on you.

Including turning time about 8 hours..........The randomness was not all that random But the sizes of the holes did change as the piece progressed.....Thanks for the welcome to the club,,, but I feel like I may be the founder!!I guess i do need a life

Check into the pierced works of J. Paul Fennell. His pieces inspired me to try piercing. I'll never reach his level, though.
