Spalted Hackberry HF

The wood was hand spalted by a friend and given to me last year. Based on a design in mark bakers 'Woodturning Projects', it has a plug that is re-attached and hidden with accent grooves. About 3 1/2" h by 3 1/4" wide, finished with tung oil finish/lacquer thinner mixture.

That's very nice and you did an excellent job with the plug technique. It's nearly impossible to tell that it wasn't hollowed throught the small opening in the neck. Very pretty piece of wood too.
