Of the 6, I like these 2 the best. The woods compliment each other very well. Not only colors, but textures as well. The small openings call for you totry to look through them. The form is good, basic while giving the eye something to follow. What calls to me most is the thin walls. No weight if left. I'm thinking that the small openings lend to lightness as well. All are real nice and the recepients are all going to be very pleased. But these two take the prize in my book. Thanks for sharing them with us. 8)
That's exactely right. I was seeing the contrasting wood. Didn't notice that the first time. Still, they give the illusion of openness which lends to lightness. Beautiful work. 8)
