Interesting. Puzzling even. I am trying to figure out how you got the shapes in each side. Is it carved? The square is made of birch? It's cool. I still haven't quite grasped the definition of inside out turning.

Yvon, that's an eye-catching piece. I'm wondering how you did the background. Is it carved? The picture title is dernier which is "last" in English. Does that title have significance?
I started with a 12x12x2 board turned circles then cut the piece in half an reversed positions turned more circles, cut the two pieces then reassemble the 4 pieces in differents positions. Dernier is stock reference only. The center is the hearth of another piece of yellow birch

A really great looking piece, Yvon. Did you use multicentres?
This was my original idea that never materialized. Actually, I made a logistical mistake to begin with, I cut the large square into quarters. You did a very good job. Am I right, that you only turned it twice? Turned, cut into quarters, each corner turned 180, glued, turned, cut in half, halves reversed and reglued? No matter, it is a great piece. 8)
