This is four different shots of the same ash vase which meaures about 10 inches tall. Each subsequent shot is after a 90 degree clockwise rotation. The composite shows the four "faces" of the turning which result from the intersecting left and right spirals. Ie spiral left, chevrons down, spiral right, chevrons up. With a matched pair of these there should be 16 different display possibilities. As usual spirals cut with the router in a sled and the piece mounted on the lathe. The hardest part was manipulating the photos.
