My dad does real estate. He was asked to go with a man to his fathers house to help him sell it for a fair price. The father is recently deceased. They had no idea what they were going to find in the basement. This guy had a woodshop in the basement with all kinds of exotic woods and tools. Neither Dad or the other guy had a clue as to the worth of these woods and so when dad said he'd have me come look, the guy said "ahh, I'll just sell you the wood for $30 and auction off the tools". These are just five of the woods I received for mere pennies from an unknown turner. May he rest in peace. L-R: Ebony, Brazilian Walnut, Kingwood, Tulipwood, Bocote.
