Balance

This was a trial based off my entry into the 2005 AAW juried show "Re-turn to the Land of Oz". I learned from this piece and might pursue some more designs like this.

what kind of wood, dimensions and what kind of form did this start as?

It is called Balance due to resting on only one part of the foot, not both. Chris, your quick on the comments. This is a piece of maple 8"W x 4"H. There is some light curl. This bowl was roughed out in 2000 and sat on my shelf for nearly 6 years.

Great piece Dave. I like view 2 the best. It shows some real nice flowing lines in your sculpting.
